Only junior South Dakota track fans are going to be hearing plenty from Ethan/Parkston’s James Deckert in the next 13 months.

Better known for his jumping abilities Deckert has shown flashes of tremendous speed this season. His time of (:11.20) in the 100-meter dash is the fourth fastest Class A time this season. 

Deckert has the top long jump in Class A this season with a mark of (21-9.25). His best triple jump (42-2.75) currently stands as the No. 3 mark in Class A this year.

Deckert also runs on the 400-meter relay team that has the No. 2 time in Class A this season).
